Premium requests

Sleev meters usage based on Premium requests. Most traffic through your gateway is completely free: a request only consumes quota when it targets a model on Sleev's Premium list and Sleev saves tokens on the request.

What counts as a Premium request

A request passing through the Sleev gateway counts as a Premium request only when both conditions are met:

  • Premium model: It targets a model included in Sleev's active Premium model list.
  • Token savings achieved: Sleev saves more than 0 tokens on the request.

Premium models

Sleev maintains a curated list of frontier models designated as Premium. See the full list on the Premium models page. All other models, including other provider models, open-weight models, and custom self-hosted endpoints, are completely free to optimize with Sleev.

Monthly quotas & tracking

Every Sleev installation includes a monthly allowance of Premium requests. In account-free mode (using Sleev without an account), you get 500 free Premium requests per month. Creating a free account and signing in increases your monthly allowance to 2,000 free Premium requests per month. Paid plans offer many more Premium requests per month.

You can monitor your current usage, remaining quota, and reset dates in real time on the dashboard or directly inside the sleev terminal app.

Quotas reset automatically at the start of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC, regardless of your billing date. Unused request allowances do not roll over between cycles.

What happens when your quota is reached

Sleev is designed with fail-safe passthrough, so reaching your quota never interrupts your workflow. Requests to Premium models simply pass through to your provider without optimization, and everything Sleev already optimized in your active sessions stays intact. Models outside the Premium list keep full optimization regardless of quota status.

Optimization for Premium models resumes automatically when your quota resets at the start of the next calendar month, or as soon as you upgrade your plan.
